If you look closely, you can see that various pieces faded out and changed color over time.  And the Shift Console Panel was from an entirely different car.  Our customer had us reveneer the console with a veneer that complimented the rest of the set.

Look at the Shift Console....and you will see the areas that were under the shift boot and under the armrest, where the veneer was hidden from light and is the medium brown color it was when it was new.
